After the Battle of Earth, Wanda Maximoff used her powers to transform a town called Westview into a sitcom-themed false reality, and created another version of Vision (her partner), whom she planned to live her ideal life with. At first, Westview functioned just like a real town, with neighbourhoods and community groups operating functionally. However, slowly the outside world began to realise what was happening, and the citizens of Westview began to realise they were in a simulation, and cracks in this world began to appear. Ultimately, Wanda had to destroy Westview. In doing this, she also destroyed the secondary version of Vision, and the children they had together in Westview. She can now only access this world by travelling through the multiverse.

1: For this debate, cordyceps brain infection (CBI) is a fungal infection that effectively turns humans into zombies upon the infliction of a wound, inhalation of iinfected spores, or death. CBI has caused the collapse of humanity, with only areas under strong military control and survivalist groups (such as the Fireflies) having been able to live functionally.

Joel is a lone survivor, but he encounters a Firefly who tasks him to escort a teenage girl named Ellie to the other side of the US in exchange for weapons and supplies. Ellie is immune to CBI, and there is strong conviction from the Firefles that a cure can be developed by running scientific experiments on her. While escorting her, Joel develops a strong bond with Ellie, who reminds him of his own daughter who he lost to CBI years earlier. Upon arrival at their destination hospital, it is revealed to Joel (and not Ellie) that although a cure can be developed, Ellie would die in the process.

Joel instead chooses to save Ellie by violently rampaging through the hospital, extracting Ellie while she is unconscious, and driving away to a remote location. Ellie is unaware of what had happened, and to avoid survivor's guilt, Joel lies and says they were unable to find a cure.

One such philosophy is the Qun. It is posits that each individual should have a fixed role in society (such as farmer, fighter, or trader) based on their nature. The priesthood of the Qunari raise children communaly and determine their role in society based on various aptitude tests.

While highly authoritarian, the Qunari strive to meet the basic material needs of every adherent to the Qun.

3: BLACKPINK (composed of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) is a Kpop group currently signed under YG Entertainment, also home to acts such as Bigbang, WINNER, IKON, Treasure, and Akdong Musician among others. As a group, BLACKPINK has found immense success and broken multiple records—however, much of their past experience has primarily been in individual endeavors (e.g. modeling, solos) rather than group performances, instigating rumors that the group may potentially disband. Their contract as a Kpop group under YGE ends in 2023.

You are getting frustrated.

The Ultimatum is a reality show ran by two unbelievably uncharismatic hosts. This show features couples, where one of the partners wants to marry the other, and the other does not. The partner who wants to get married issues an ultimatum, giving the other partner eight weeks to decide whether they will get married, or break up forever. During these eight weeks, the original couples will split and trial ‘marry’ one of the other contestants, to test whether their original partner is indeed the one.They then decide to marry their original partner, marry their new partner from the trial marriage or break up.

3: The philosophy behind the creation of MMA was to maximize the effectiveness of combat by giving fighters the freedom to incorporate techniques from a wide range of martial arts with few rules and regulations. Because of this no-holds-barred origin of MMA, it was perceived as a violent and brutal sport in its early days. On the other hand, hardcore fans of the sport supported this approach to fighting.

During the early years of mixed martial arts, there was a noteworthy lack of rules and regulations regarding drug testing. Many MMA champions, including Cro Cop, Jon Jones, and Anderson Silva were found to use performance-enhancing drugs during their careers.

1: Agent McNulty is a detective who has worked for years on taking down the organized drug crime ring in the city of Baltimore. He has a strong conviction that he can obtain evidence that can finally bring down one of the the biggest drug kingpins (Marlo Stanfield) as well as most of his top lieutenants. However, the city mayor has decided to cut the police budget significantly due to a budget deficit and has decided to prioritize other concerns within the city. He would need resources for wiretaps, manpower, and other requirements to collect evidence.

McNulty discovers a series of dead bodies in abandoned areas which have likely died in a nonviolent nature. In order to add political pressure and restore public interest in the police, he considers manipulating the bodies and fabricating evidence to make the deaths appear to be murders, and uses similar techniques for all bodies (e.g. tying a ribbon, adding bite marks) to feign the appearance that a lone serial killer is responsible for the killings.
